Introduction & Core Philosophy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Shopping List mobile application (Package ID: br.com.fernandovr.shoppinglist) created by Fernando VR.
We strongly believe that your personal grocery planning, budgets, item pricing, and family household records should remain strictly private to you. The application is built as a self-contained, offline-first tool that does not require an account, internet connection, or external cloud synchronization.
Information Handled by the App
All data processed by the application is created by you and stored exclusively on your local device:
- Shopping Lists & Items: List names, dates, item titles, quantities, volume units, categories, and estimated/actual prices.
- Master Product Catalog: Custom items, price histories, barcode identifiers, and unit preferences you choose to record.
- Household / Person Profiles: Profile names and optional local photo avatars used solely to calculate and split cart costs between people.
- Locations & Supermarkets: Store names and optional addresses or color tags you configure for easy store organization.
📴 No Internet Access
The app does not request or use internet permissions (android.permission.INTERNET). It cannot make network requests.
💾 Local SQLite / Room Database
Your records are stored securely in Android's sandboxed local application storage, inaccessible to other apps.
Device Permissions
The application only accesses device features when you explicitly initiate an action:
- Camera (Optional): If you choose to take a photo of a product or a person avatar directly within the app, camera access is requested at runtime. Images are saved only to the app's private internal storage.
- Photo Picker (Zero-Permission): Media selection utilizes Android's official system Photo Picker, which grants access only to the single file you select without requiring broad storage permissions.
You can revoke any permission at any time through your Android System Settings.
Data Backup and Portability
You have 100% control and ownership over your data:
- Backup & Restore: You can export a full database backup at any time as a file on your device.
- Sharing: If you use the share function (e.g. sharing a text list via WhatsApp or email), the data is transferred solely via Android's native system share sheet under your explicit direction.
- Data Deletion: Deleting an item, list, or clearing app storage in Android Settings permanently removes all associated data from your device.
Third-Party Services & Analytics
The application contains NO third-party software development kits (SDKs), advertising libraries, or user behavior analytics:
- No Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or telemetry trackers.
- No advertising networks or advertising identifiers (Advertising ID / AAID).
- No social media tracking pixels or SDKs.
Children’s Privacy
Because Shopping List collects zero personal data from any user, it does not collect information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). The application is safe for users of all ages and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and GDPR.
